With a wealth of $34.6 billion, the Mistry family of Shapoorji Pallonji Group holds the third position on the list, while the Poonawalla family, owners of vaccine maker Serum Institute, with a wealth of $32.9 billion, stands fourth. Stockbroker and founder of D-Mart-branded grocery stores, Radhakishan Damani, claims the fifth spot on the India Rich List with a wealth of $23.4 billion

According to The Guardian newspaper, Ford is expected to complete the sale of Jaguar and Land Rover to Tata "within a few days." However, neither side has put a price on the marques. Packaged tea consumption in India has been under pressure due to inflation across the consumption basket coupled with higher tea prices. This is forcing tea drinkers to downtrade, especially in rural areas. Milk prices have also gone up and this has impacted tea consumption along with delayed winters in the north, companies have said. NIQ (formerly known as NielsenIQ) data shows that the packaged tea category grew around 4 per cent in value and volume terms in 2022 compared to 2021.

Tata Motors has acquired Ford's British marquees Jaguar and Land Rover for $2.30 billion in an all cash deal, sealing a deal that it pursued for nine months. Under the deal, Tata would continue to source engine from Ford, which would be paying about $600 million toward the pension liabilities of Jaguar-Land Rover employees.
